Hanoi – Sapa – Phong Tho – Dien Bien - Hanoi
Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi– Night train to Sapa
Up on arrival in Hanoi we transfer to the hotel and free until the time we take a night train at around 22:00 to Sapa. Tonight we spend overnight on the train.
Day 2: Sapa
We arrive in Lao Cai Railway station at around 06:00AM and transfer to Sapa for our breakfast and check in hotel. After that we will climb up Ham Rong Mountain for a panoramic view of Sapa and its environs. Once we have come back down, we will then walk to Cat Cat village, home of the Black H’mong ethnic minority people. Once we walk to the village nestled in the valley below Sapa we will meet the local minority people on the way and we will have chance to visit the home to share culture with families who live here. In the late afternoon we walk back to the town to join the local market. We stay in Sapa tonight. (B)Trekking distance 5 km
Day 3: Sapa – Phong Tho
After breakfast we drive to Phong Tho. This is a remote area and as a result some of the roads will be fairly rough and uneven. Yet this is to our advantage as there will be fewer visitors to spoil our views of the beautiful and dramatic scenery which we encounter along the way. Once we reach Phong Tho we will visit a local market. This market is becoming popular with visitors that make the extra effort getting here, as it is one of the most colorful markets in Vietnam. Day 4: Phong Tho – Dien Bien
Today we get up early in the morning and drive to Dien Bien Phu, around 8 hours away. You will see wonderful view along the road. Arrive in Dien Bien Phu we check in hotel and relax. (B, L)
Day 5: Dien Bien – Hanoi VN495 15:30 – 16:30
This morning we take a quick visit to some history sites such as: Museum, hills, trench and tunnels…
After lunch, we transfer to the airport and take a short flight to Hanoi. (B)
Day 6: Hanoi - Departure
This morning, if we leave Hanoi in the afternoon, we will have some hour visiting Hanoi in the morning, such as: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda as well as the Temple of Literature. After lunch we check out and transfer to the airport to take the flight to home. (B)
