Laos is the country where travelers can really escape from the stress modern world. Get in to the tranquility of the world dominate by Buddhism. One of the highlights of Laos is Luang Prabang in the northern mountains. Which is recognized as the World Heritage site by UNESCO. Laos is the place where we find very little traffics on the streets and monks dress up in yellow are very similar sight. If we are looking for the hassle free place in the world Laos is the right place we are looking for.

Day 1:  Arrival - Houaixai
Day 2:  Houaixai - Pakbeng
Day 3:  Pakbeng - LuangPrabang
Day 4:  Luang Prabang City Tour
Day 5:  Luang Prabang  -  Kuangsi waterfall
Day 6:  Departure

Detail itinerary:

Day 1:  Arrival - HouaixaiLaos in Brief - Houaixai
Crossing the Mekong River between Laos-Thailand borders, check in the Guesthouse. There is no activity today but our guide will give us a short brief itinerary for next day.
Today Dinner included

Day 2:  Houaixai - Pakbeng
After early breakfast at the hotel we will meet our local guide before continuing tour to Pakbeng. In Ban Houaixai we will board our boat and cruise down the Mekong River to Pakbeng, we will stop to observe village life and ethnic group along the Mekong River. Overnight in Pakbeng.

Day 3:  Pakbeng - Luang Prabang
Following the early rise we will visit the local market where tribes exchange their goods. Afterwards we continue the cruise to Luang Prabang along the river we will stop the Hmong village and we visit Pak Ou cave which has a thousand Buddha images. On the way back we will stop at Ban Xanghai, a village which is famed for the production of traditional Lao rice alcohol.  Watch the distillation process and then sample the product. We are back to the Wharf and transfer to the hotel by car after that. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 4:  Luang Prabang City Tour
Today our first visit will be the National Museum then two magnificent temples - Wat Visoun, Wat Xienthong. After our lunch we climb up the Phousi Mountain to enjoy its sacred stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the river. From there, we will explore the Night Market Street, where we can find lovely handicrafts made by our local people. Overnight in the hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 5:  Luang Prabang - Kuangsi waterfallLaos in Brief - Kuangsi waterfall
We
may like to get up early to see the morning procession of monks along Sisavangvong Road lined with the local people waiting to make their offerings of food. Then after breakfast we take a short drive to Ban Xangkhong - a weaving village and to Ban XiangLek – a village producing “sa” paper. Then it’s a long drive to Kuang Si Waterfall set in the lush green surroundings of one of the National Conservation Areas. En route, there are stops to visit the small villages of Ban Na Oune, a Hmong village, and Ban Tha Pane, a Khmu minority village. Then it’s back to Luang Prabang by the late afternoon The day will end with a visit to see the footprints of the Buddha at Wat Siphouthabath. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 6:  Departure
Today, we are free at our leisure until the time to transfer to the airport. Our vehicle and guide will see you off then.
